Falling between two municipal corporations, 1.5 KMs of the road lies in the BMC jurisdiction and 3.5KMs of the road lies in the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation’s (MBMC) jurisdiction. Starting near the Kandarpada Metro station on Link Road Dahisar (West), the elevated road will end near Uttan Road near Subhas Chandra Bose Ground, Bhayanader (West). The project will pass through salt pans and mangroves. It will be the contractor’s responsibility to get all the required permissions from the various state government departments for the project.

The project will be multi-model and will include a seven-story mechanised parking lot with close to 550 parking spaces for commuters. Also, plans are there to have signal free multi-level interchanges at the endpoints to reduce traffic. Additionally, BMC has also proposed to build space needle like multi-level deck structure for a mangrove-forest observatory point that will be a treat to nature lovers and in turn boost tourism.

Everyday more than 10 lakh people commute between Mumbai and Mira-Bhayander which is presently connected only through the Western Railway and the Western Express Highway. With this elevated coastal project road, the traffic on Dahisar Check Naka and Mira-Bhayander is expected to reduce by 30–35%
